SOCIAL-PEDAGOGICAL WORK ON BULLYING PREVENTION IN THE SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of theoretical developments and practical solutions to the issue of bullying prevention in the adolescent environment within the social-pedagogical work of educational institutions. The concept of «bullying» and forms of school bullying are defined, including physical (infliction of physical harm, physical humiliation, etc.), psychological (violence affecting the psyche, causing psychological trauma to the child), and economic bullying (actions aimed at damaging property, etc.). The main reasons for the emergence of such a social phenomenon as bullying in the adolescent environment have been identified. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, factors contributing to its emergence have been identified: personal factors, family factors, environmental factors, situational factors, and social factors.

It is determined that victims of violence in the school educational environment include students who have physical defects or disabilities, are introverted or impulsive, lack experience in group living, have a low level of intelligence or face certain difficulties in learning, gifted children, physically weak children, and those lacking self-confidence. Characteristics of the directions, content, and forms of work to counteract bullying in the school environment have been provided. It is noted that the leading role in countering violence and bullying belongs to the social-psychological service of the educational institution, which is implemented based on a systematic approach and the support of parents, representatives of local authorities, and community organizations, as well as with the involvement and participation of students. The specifics of social-pedagogical violence prevention in the student environment at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels have been disclosed. Directions in the structure of bullying prevention in the school educational environment have been identified: managerial, educational, correctional-developmental. Methods and forms of work of the social pedagogue with parents regarding bullying prevention in the educational institution have been analyzed.
