Abstract

The article examines the organizational, managerial, and social foundations of rehabilitation for military personnel, combatants, war veterans, and other individuals who sustained injuries during military operations. The relevance of the study is driven by the consequences of the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine, which has resulted in a significant number of individuals requiring comprehensive assistance and adaptation to life outside combat zones. It is established that the quality of rehabilitation activities depends on the coordinated efforts of state, medical, psychological, and social institutions, as well as the professional competence of specialists in the social sphere.

The approaches of modern scholars regarding the necessity of forming a systemic approach in the professional training of future social workers, psychologists, and rehabilitation specialists have been analyzed. The main directions of their training are considered: mastering theoretical knowledge about social rehabilitation, developing practical skills and abilities for working with various client categories, and forming moral-ethical and communicative qualities. It is emphasized that the effectiveness of rehabilitation activities depends on the professionalism, self-development capacity, empathy, and creativity of the specialist.

Modern rehabilitation methods are highlighted, including psychoeducation, stabilization techniques, trauma-focused work, mirror therapy, group work, and models for developing life skills, motivation, affective learning, coping behaviors, self-efficacy, and social support. It has been proven that the application of these models promotes the restoration of psychological well-being, self-control, increased self-efficacy, and the integration of veterans into civilian life.

Particular attention is given to the phenomenon of posttraumatic growth, which involves positive personality changes following experienced stress. It is noted that the implementation of rehabilitation programs requires a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods for evaluating outcomes, an interdisciplinary approach, and the involvement of social support. It is concluded: the rehabilitation of military personnel is a complex social issue, the resolution of which requires a comprehensive state policy, scientifically grounded management, adequate staffing, and societal support.
