The article examines current trends in the innovative development of the training process of high-performance handball players in the context of sports digitalization. It is shown that training methods are undergoing significant transformations driven by new technologies, particularly data analytics, video analysis, sensor-based monitoring systems, and software platforms for evaluating athletes’ technical and tactical performance. Special attention is given to the increasing role of individualized training, which involves designing personal training plans based on physiological indicators, technical skill levels, and psychological characteristics of athletes.
Modern scientific approaches related to biomechanical movement analysis, monitoring of functional states, cognitive-athletic training, and the application of artificial intelligence for optimizing tactical decisions in handball are analyzed. The importance of mental preparation (meditation, visualization, relaxation techniques) as a factor enhancing psychological resilience and overall performance is emphasized. Furthermore, the article highlights innovative recovery methods, such as cryotherapy, physiotherapeutic procedures, and specialized nutrition, which contribute to the prevention of fatigue and sports injuries.
It is concluded that the comprehensive integration of technological tools, individualized methodological approaches, and psychophysiological support significantly improves the efficiency of the training process and athletic performance. The study highlights the need for further research focused on assessing the impact of innovative technologies on the preparation of elite handball players and developing integrated training support models.
