Abstract

The article analyzes the possibilities of using Microsoft Copilot as a digital resource in the system of teaching information and communication technologies to students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education. A theoretical justification is presented for the expediency of integrating artificial intelligence tools into the content of the academic discipline «Information and Communication Technologies» in the context of digital transformation of education and the renewal of professional competencies of higher education students. The functional potential of Microsoft Copilot is revealed as a tool for supporting learning activities, generating educational content, creating multimedia materials, automating document work, data processing, and organizing cloud-based collaboration. Methodological approaches to the use of Copilot in the study of office technologies, digital services, data analysis tools, and the preparation of educational projects are outlined. The possibilities of the service in forming digital and information-communication competencies of future teachers and specialists in other fields have been analyzed. The ethical aspects of using artificial intelligence in the educational process, issues of academic integrity, critical thinking, and responsible application of intelligent tools are highlighted. The prospects for the development of methodological support for ICT teaching in higher education institutions using intelligent digital assistants are presented.
