Compliance with the principles and guidelines of COPE, WAME, and DORA

The journal’s editorial policy is based on internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, openness in scientific communication, and ensuring the quality of scientific research.

The journal operates under an open-access model and adheres to the following guidelines:
    • Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) — regarding ethical standards for publication, peer review procedures, complaint handling, conflict of interest management, and retraction;  
    • World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) — regarding editorial independence, the integrity of the peer review process, and the responsibilities of editors; 
    • San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) — regarding the responsible evaluation of scientific results without excessive reliance on quantitative indicators. 

In practice, the journal provides:
    • adherence to the principles of academic integrity at all stages of the editorial process (submission, peer review, acceptance, and publication of materials); 
    • independence of editorial decisions from third-party influence; 
    • objectivity, impartiality, and confidentiality in peer review; 
    • mandatory disclosure and resolution of conflicts of interest by all participants in the editorial process; 
    • transparency of decision-making criteria regarding publication; 
    • addressing violations of publication ethics in accordance with COPE recommendations, including correction and retraction procedures. 

The journal adheres to the principles of responsible evaluation of scientific results, focusing primarily on the substantive quality of research, its scientific novelty, validity, and practical significance.

The journal also supports the principles of open science and encourages authors to ensure the accessibility of research results, in particular by adhering to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) regarding research data and by depositing them in open repositories with appropriate descriptions and metadata.

The editorial board regularly reviews and updates the journal’s policies to ensure they align with current international standards for scholarly publishing and best practices in open science.
