Violence and bullying in the school environment are one of the most serious
problems of the modern education system. These phenomena not only negatively affect the teaching and learning process, but also leave long-lasting effects in the psyche of young people, shaping their future social relations and personal development. Particularly in high schools, where students are
going through a critical period of puberty and identity formation, this problem assumes special importance. The analysis of theoretical sources from the topic under study provided an opportunity to describe the causes and factors of bullying in the peer environment and to identify the consequences of these actions. A brief description of the theoretical models of bullying prevention was presented.
On the basis of the theory, practical recommendations were developed for entities that are responsible for the prevention of bullying and violence among high school students. Concrete actions were proposed to create a safe and supportive high school environment.
