Abstract

The article links educational transformations in Ukraine with the global interaction of subjects of the cultural space, which is the key to the development of the individual, society and the world community in the twenty-first century and provides for a deep modernization of the content, process and results of pedagogical education on the basis of their standardization. The article highlights the issues of professional training of future language and literature teachers in the context of Ukraine’s European educational integration during this period. The concepts of internationalization of Ukrainian higher education, the provisions of the laws of Ukraine on education and higher education, the instructions of relevant government resolutions and orders, as well as European decisions and recommendations regarding teacher training at the present stage and language education, which motivate the necessity and advantages of integration processes, directing them to the harmonization of educational requirements, rules and documents in the European educational space, are consistently revealed.

The controversial positions of domestic scientists regarding Ukraine's accession to the Bologna Process are analyzed, attention is drawn to the main characteristics of European university education, its modernization achievements are systematized, and contradictions and possibilities of their implementation in the Ukrainian education system are outlined. The necessity for a deeper explanation of the features of European education and its importance for the development and quality of Ukrainian educational systems is emphasized.

The internationalization of training future specialists is interpreted in the article as a process of its standardization according to European educational models based on compliance with national heritage and interests, which is a factor in the quality of education in Ukraine.

The article is addressed to students, postgraduates, pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers.
