Abstract

The article provides a theoretical justification of the features of preparing young people for family life as a direction of activity of youth spaces.

Modern socio-cultural transformations have a significant impact on the functioning of the family institution, the system of family values, and the features of interpersonal interaction. The increase in the number of unstable marriages, the increase in the level of family conflict, and the decrease in the responsibility of the younger generation for creating and preserving a family determine the relevance of the problem of preparing students for family life.

It has been established that youth work, which is aimed at ensuring the social expectations of young people regarding the personal, professional, and social development of the younger generation, has a significant resource in preparing modern youth for family life. Its content covers a wide range of activities that contribute to the formation of civic activity, social responsibility, the development of personal potential, and the acquisition of professional competencies of young people. Thanks to a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach, youth work provides an effective response to the current needs and challenges of the youth environment, activates the participation of young people in public life and promotes their integration into socio-economic and public processes.

Youth spaces have significant socio-educational potential, which provide conditions for the comprehensive development of the individual. Youth participation in social initiatives, volunteer activities and teamwork forms responsibility, leadership qualities, the ability to cooperate and social activity. Within the framework of the activities of youth spaces, thematic lectures, trainings, interactive classes, psychological consultations, discussion clubs and meetings with specialists are held. Such forms of work contribute to the awareness of young people of the importance of the family as an important social institution and help form a readiness to fulfill family responsibilities.
