FEATURES OF SOFTWARE ENGINEER TRAINING IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS: EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE

The article provides an overview of the key factors contributing to the rapid development of information technologies worldwide. It presents the positions of leading Ukrainian universities according to the EduRank rating and substantiates the need to update and reform educational programs and approaches for training software engineers. The paper reviews the studies of Ukrainian researchers focused on the implementation of innovative approaches to teaching professional IT disciplines, as well as the integration of international experience in software engineering education into Ukrainian higher education institutions.
The best European higher education institutions for software engineering training are identified, and their educational programs and training practices are analyzed. The main trends in software engineering education in selected institutions are highlighted, along with key features of the organization of the educational process. The necessity of structuring and standardizing software engineering training is emphasized, along with the modernization of curricula and educational programs in response to rapid technological changes. Additionally, the article stresses the importance of evaluating the effectiveness of implementing innovative approaches to teaching professional disciplines in Ukrainian higher education institutions and promoting the adoption of successful international practices.
