In the modern system of professional preparation of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports, the problem of forming the logistical competence among future coaches in track and field athletics, a sport that is distinguished by significant variability of loads, a significant number of participants in competitions, and the need for a clear organization of logistical processes, has become particularly relevant.
The article theoretically substantiates the role of logistical competence among future track and field athletics coaches, defines its structural components, and specifies the content of the concept of "logistical competence of a coach" as a complex professional ability, which is manifested in the ability to plan and implement logistical processes - from organizing a training microcycle to ensuring the participation of athletes in competitions.
The structure of logistics competence, which includes cognitive, operational, communicative and analytical-reflective components, is characterized; theoretical and methodological principles for its formation are outlined on the basis of acmeological, competence, activity and systemic approaches. Pedagogical conditions that contribute to the effective inclusion of the logistics component in the educational process are identified.
